Welcome to the Hampshire village of Holybourne

Holybourne lies to the eastern edge of the market town of Alton in the Wey Valley and the rolling hills and vales of Hampshire. An hour’s journey through the countryside can take you to either Southampton, Winchester, Portsmouth, Guildford, Basingstoke, Reading or even London. The train station in Alton provides a regular service to London.

Although Holybourne is an expanding community, village life for many years has, and still is, centred on the church, the village shop with its Post Office, the White Hart Public House and the village hall. The area is also well served by the Local WI, the Lions and Round Table and with about 1500 residents we are still small enough to care.

Any resident can stand for election to the committee, which takes place in October at the Annual General Meeting. Voting is by those residents attending the meeting.
